About Cooking Camp

posted by Kristy on 16.06.2009, under Uncategorized
At each stage of the year there is a food in season - fresh for the picking, preparing and sharing. Each week we have a “hero” food and we learn about how it is grown, to taste it and to cook it. Cooking camps give kids something else to do on their weekend nights - they learn to know their local food grown, how to cook it and how to hold a feast with friends. Cooking camps are healthy, connect to our environment and pass on skills that have been used traditionally for generations. Parents get a night out and upon return, kids who can cook! Cooking camps are fun, create skills and memories that last for life!

Our programs run each week for 6 weeks at a time. Book your child in for the entire 6 weeks or just one course. Some examples of nights we will do is “Breakfast for dinner” and “Slow fast food”. In summer months, we plan to hold real outdoor cooking camps. So fun!
Put your name on the waiting list!

one project at a time. It is about being outside, activating our community spaces, using regional produce and alerting our senses to the simple, beautiful and delicious.
